Note: The IRF540 is not a logic-level MOSFET. It achieves its specified low ON resistance with approximately 10V gate drive. When driven directly from 3.3V or 5V microcontrollers (such as ESP32 or Arduino), it may not switch fully on and can overheat under heavy loads. For direct logic-level control, use a logic-level MOSFET (such as IRLZ44N) or a suitable MOSFET gate driver.
