Working Principle

  1. Water droplets fall onto the rain sensor plate.
  2. The conductive tracks on the plate detect changes in electrical conductivity.
  3. The LM393 comparator processes the signal.
  4. AO provides an analog voltage proportional to the amount of water detected.
  5. DO changes its logic state when the moisture level exceeds the threshold set by the onboard potentiometer.
